Iran’s internet blackout enters 73rd day surpassing 1,728 hours as NetBlocks warns of human rights impact
Internet monitoring organisation NetBlocks reported that Iran’s internet blackout has entered its 73rd day, surpassing 1,728 hours of disruption.
NetBlocks warned that open internet access is a fundamental right underpinning all other liberties, and that its prolonged deprivation severely limits the Iranian public’s ability to document and seek redress for human rights violations.

Poland’s Mufti visits Abu Dhabi, condemns Iranian attacks on UAE civilian facilities as crime against Islamic values
The Mufti of Poland, Tomasz Miśkiewicz, met with Dr. Omar Habtour Al Derei, Chairman of the UAE’s General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat, in Abu Dhabi, where the two sides discussed enhancing cooperation on religious and humanitarian issues.
The Polish Mufti praised the UAE’s humanitarian approach and its global initiatives promoting peace, tolerance, and coexistence.
In a notable statement, he condemned the Iranian attacks targeting UAE civilian and residential facilities, calling them a crime against Islamic values and teachings and a violation of international norms and conventions.
He also expressed appreciation for the authority’s work in delivering religious and social services in multiple languages through modern channels.

Iran warns France and UK their Hormuz warship deployments will be met with immediate military response
Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy Foreign Minister for Legal and International Affairs, issued a stark warning to France and the United Kingdom following their announcements of naval deployments to the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden in preparation for a joint freedom of navigation mission near the Strait of Hormuz.
He dismissed the deployments as escalation, militarisation of a vital waterway, and an attempt to obscure the true sources of regional insecurity, arguing that maritime security cannot be guaranteed through shows of military force by extra-regional powers.
Gharibabadi declared that only Iran, as a coastal state, has the right to establish security in the Strait of Hormuz and determine its legal arrangements, and warned that the presence of French, British, or any other foreign warships acting in support of what he called illegal U.S. actions in the strait would be met with a decisive and immediate response from Iranian armed forces – strongly advising both countries not to complicate the situation further.

Republican senator Lindsey Graham calls for shift in Iran strategy, floats ‘Project Freedom Plus’ after Tehran rejects deal
South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham acknowledged President Trump’s diplomatic efforts toward Iran but declared that Tehran’s constant attacks on international shipping, persistent strikes on U.S. Middle Eastern allies, and outright rejection of Washington’s proposal have made it time to consider changing course.
He floated the idea of a more forceful approach, suggesting that “Project Freedom Plus” sounds like the right next step.

Trump accuses Iran of 47 years of delay tactics, blasts Obama and Biden over Iran policy as deal talks falter
President Donald Trump launched a sweeping attack on Iran and his predecessors following Tehran’s rejection of his deal proposal, accusing Iran of stringing along the United States for 47 years through deliberate delay tactics.
He reserved particular anger for former President Barack Obama, accusing him of handing Iran hundreds of billions of dollars and $1.7 billion in cash, abandoning Israel and other allies, and giving the Iranian regime a powerful new lease on life.
Trump also took aim at former President Joe Biden, calling him worse than Obama as a leader. He warned that Iran’s days of laughing at the United States are over, closing with an implicit threat that the rejection of his proposal would have consequences.

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian declared that Iran will never bow to its enemies, drawing a sharp distinction between negotiation and surrender.

Iranian foreign ministry spokesman accuses IAEA chief of overstepping mandate with political messaging on Hormuz and missiles
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei accused the International Atomic Energy Agency of straying beyond its verification mandate by issuing political messaging about the Strait of Hormuz, Iran’s missiles, and Tehran’s conduct.
He warned that when professional impartiality is sacrificed for political signalling or personal ambition, institutions erode their own credibility and long-term effectiveness – a pointed rebuke directed at IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi without naming him directly.
