UAE forms national committee to document Iranian war crimes and aggression, building legal case for international accountability
The UAE has established a National Committee for Documenting Acts of Aggression, International Crimes, and Resulting Damages, formed by resolution of Vice President and Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Chaired by the UAE Attorney General, the committee is tasked with systematically documenting Iranian acts of aggression, international crimes, and all resulting human, material, and economic damages affecting the UAE’s territory, citizens, residents, and visitors.
The body brings together senior representatives from federal ministries and local entities spanning security, judicial, technical, and economic authorities, and is authorised to engage national and international experts.
It will collect and analyse evidence, technical, engineering, medical, and forensic reports in line with internationally recognised standards, maintaining a secure central database with strict chain-of-custody protocols to ensure the legal admissibility of all evidence.
The resolution signals that the UAE is building a comprehensive legal file to support accountability procedures at both national and international levels – a significant institutional step that suggests Abu Dhabi is preparing formal legal action against Iran.

DP World launches end-to-end cargo war risk insurance for Middle East trade routes amid Hormuz disruption
Dubai-based ports giant DP World has introduced a first-of-its-kind cargo war risk insurance solution designed to provide continuous coverage across the entire supply chain – from ocean or air transit through port storage to inland delivery – filling gaps left by conventional policies that typically cover only a single leg of a journey.
The product, available to all companies trading in or through the Middle East, covers physical loss or damage from war-related risks including conflict, civil unrest, seizure, and derelict weapons, with all valid claims settled at zero deductible.
Coverage limits reach up to $400 million per shipment and $1 million per inland movement, spanning key corridors including the Arabian Gulf, the Red Sea, and surrounding inland routes.
Group CEO Yuvraj Narayan said the solution was designed to keep trade moving when it matters most, leveraging DP World’s scale to secure pricing significantly more competitive than standard war risk premiums.

Iranian parliament speaker mocks Axios deal report as ‘Operation Fauxios,’ dismisses Project Freedom pause as ‘Operation Trust Me Bro’
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf dismissed both the pause in Project Freedom and the Axios report claiming Washington and Tehran are close to a deal, dubbing them “Operation Trust Me Bro” and “Operation Fauxios” respectively – signaling deep skepticism within Iran’s hardline establishment toward any suggestion of an imminent agreement with the United States.

UAE rejects Iranian foreign ministry statement as threat to sovereignty, reserves right to full military and legal response
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a forceful rejection of a statement by its Iranian counterpart, dismissing any allegations or threats targeting its sovereignty, national security, or independent decision-making as categorically unacceptable.
The ministry stressed that the UAE’s international relations and defence partnerships are exclusively sovereign matters that no party may use as a pretext for threats or interference, and warned that any rhetoric threatening the country’s security, infrastructure, or the safety of its people violates the principles of good neighbourliness, international law, and the UN Charter.
The UAE explicitly reserved its full sovereign, legal, diplomatic, and military rights to respond to any threat or hostile act, and declared that coercion and malicious claims would not shake its principled positions or deter it from protecting its national interests.
