Kuwait’s Ministry of Defense said two northern border sites were struck by fiber-optic wire-guided explosive drones originating from Iraq, causing material damage but no casualties.
Spokesman Colonel Saud Al-Otaibi said authorities immediately took measures to deal with the incident.
Anwar Gargash said the US and Iran “don’t want to go back to war” but warned that Tehran’s relationship with its Gulf neighbors will be affected long-term.
Speaking by video link at the World Policy Conference in France, he said Iran’s strategy of enlarging the war “with little consideration of its long-term regional relations” will damage its position in the region.
Gargash said regional relations with Iran “are bound to come back at some stage” but that rebuilding trust “is different,” adding that “Iran will be seen as a strategic threat from the region’s perspective for many decades to come.”
He also described Iran’s leadership as “disjointed,” noting that Tehran’s denial of this was itself “a clear indication that they look at that as a serious concern.”
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu disclosed that he was diagnosed and treated for a very early-stage malignant prostate tumor, saying the issue is now completely resolved.
He said he delayed publishing his annual medical report by two months to avoid releasing it during the war and prevent Iran from spreading propaganda.
Netanyahu said a spot of less than a centimeter was discovered during routine monitoring following prostate surgery a year and a half ago.
Doctors told him it was common for men his age and could either be monitored or treated. He chose targeted treatment, which he said removed the problem entirely with “no spread or metastases whatsoever.”
He thanked the medical teams at Hadassah Hospital in Jerusalem and urged Israeli citizens to prioritize their health and get regular checkups.
Kuwait announced the reopening of airspace at Kuwait International Airport starting Thursday evening. Civil Aviation Authority Director Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Jaber Al-Sabah said the decision was made in coordination with international authorities to ensure the highest safety standards.
He said the authority has completed its assessment of damage to airport facilities caused by Iranian attacks and proxy actions, with technical teams beginning repairs to infrastructure and equipment.
Operations will resume in phases, starting with priority stations, with each stage evaluated before expanding further.
President Donald Trump announced a three-week extension of the Israel-Lebanon ceasefire following a meeting in the Oval Office with high-ranking representatives from both countries.
Attendees included Vice President Vance, Secretary of State Rubio, US Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, and US Ambassador to Lebanon Michel Issa.
Trump said the US will work with Lebanon to help it “protect itself from Hezbollah” and that he looks forward to hosting Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun in the near future.
