Iran’s Gharibabadi accuses U.S. of seeking surrender not peace, outlines minimum conditions for any lasting agreement
Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi rejected what he called a literature of humiliation and coercive score-settling, accusing the United States of rejecting Iran’s response solely because it was not a letter of surrender – revealing, he argued, that Washington’s goal is the imposition of political will through threats and pressure rather than genuine peace.
He outlined Iran’s minimum conditions for any serious and sustainable arrangement: a permanent cessation of war and guarantees against its repetition, compensation for damages, lifting of the naval blockade, removal of illegal sanctions, and respect for Iran’s rights.
Gharibabadi dismissed the U.S. approach as the continuation of a coercion policy dressed in diplomatic language, arguing that one cannot speak of a ceasefire while maintaining a siege, pursue diplomacy while intensifying sanctions, or promote regional stability while supporting what he called the source of aggression and instability.

Iranian foreign ministry spokesman frames conflict as civilisational struggle between good and evil, calls on world to speak out
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmaeil Baqaei issued a sweeping appeal to people of all faiths and backgrounds, framing the conflict with the United States and Israel as a defining civilisational struggle that will determine the meaning of good and evil for future generations.
He accused the U.S. and Israel of launching a war of aggression on February 28, 2026, while Iran and the U.S. were engaged in diplomatic negotiations, and described the conflict as a battle between those who violate every law of war and those who defend human dignity.
Baqaei called on the world’s conscience to reject what he characterized as modern domination through coercion, lies, and extortion, warning that silence amounts to complicity with evil and urging people to stand on the right side of history before the world descends into lawlessness.

Oil prices dip on Wednesday after three consecutive sessions of gains
Brent crude futures fell 82 cents, or 0.76%, to $106.95 a barrel in early Wednesday trading, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate dropped 66 cents, or 0.65%, to $101.52, according to Reuters, snapping a three-session winning streak.

Arab Parliament condemns IRGC infiltration of Kuwait’s Bubiyan Island, backs Kuwait’s right to self-defense
Arab Parliament Speaker Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Yamahi strongly condemned the IRGC infiltration of Kuwait’s Bubiyan Island, calling it an unacceptable hostile act and a flagrant violation of Kuwaiti sovereignty, international law, and the UN Charter.
He expressed the Arab Parliament’s full support for Kuwait in exercising its legitimate right to self-defense and taking all necessary measures to confront what he described as terrorist attacks and serious Iranian violations, reiterating that Kuwait’s national security is an integral part of Arab national security.

UAE designates 21 Hezbollah-linked individuals and entities as terrorists, orders asset freezes within 24 hours
The UAE Cabinet has approved the designation of 16 individuals and five entities on its Local Terrorist List for their links to Lebanon’s Hezbollah, pursuant to Cabinet Resolution No. 63 of 2026.
All 16 individuals are Lebanese nationals, while the five entities are all headquartered in Lebanon and include Al-Qard Al-Hassan Association, Bayt Al-Mal Al Muslimeen, and three accounting and financial firms.
Regulatory authorities have been directed to identify any individuals or entities with financial or commercial ties to those listed and freeze their assets within 24 hours.
The UAE said the move forms part of its broader ongoing efforts to disrupt and dismantle terrorism financing networks, both domestically and internationally, and reflects its firm commitment to combating terrorism and extremism in all forms.
