Dubai’s Government Human Resources Department has confirmed that the Prophet’s Birthday public holiday will fall on Friday, August 28, 2026, for all entities, departments, and institutions under the Dubai Government. Official work resumes on Monday, August 31.
The holiday marks the commemoration of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday, known as Mawlid Al Nabi, and creates an effective three-day weekend for government employees across the emirate.
