Etihad Guest and STARLUX Airlines’ COSMILE programme have launched a frequent flyer partnership, giving members of both schemes access to each other’s networks for the first time.
From August 4, Etihad Guest members can redeem miles on STARLUX flights in Business and Economy class, covering the Taiwanese carrier’s routes across Asia, North America and Europe. That includes onward connections to Los Angeles, Phoenix and Seattle in the United States, and Okinawa, Kobe and Nagoya in Japan.
The arrangement will expand before the end of the year. Etihad Guest members will gain the ability to earn miles on STARLUX flights, while COSMILE members will be able to both earn and redeem miles across Etihad’s network of more than 100 destinations.
“This partnership with COSMILE gives our members more ways to use their Etihad Guest Miles, opening up STARLUX’s network across Asia, North America and Europe from this August. As we build towards full reciprocal earning and redemption in October, we’re creating a seamless loyalty experience that reflects the strength of our wider partnership with STARLUX, from our codeshare agreement to our direct Abu Dhabi–Taipei service. We look forward to welcoming more COSMILE members into the Etihad Guest experience later this year,” Arik De, Chief Revenue and Commercial Officer Etihad Airways said in a statement.

The loyalty partnership is the third layer of a relationship that has developed quickly. Etihad and STARLUX signed a codeshare agreement in June 2025, followed by the launch of Etihad’s Abu Dhabi–Taipei service, operated by a Boeing 787-9, in September 2025.
The two airlines are positioning Abu Dhabi as a gateway between STARLUX’s Asia-Pacific network and Etihad’s European routes, with Taipei serving as a connecting point for Etihad passengers travelling onward across Asia.
