Emirates has expanded its booking flexibility offer, with a package of five measures covering date changes, refunds, travel insurance and loyalty programme benefits.
The most significant change takes effect on August 10, 2026: customers flying to Dubai can now change their travel dates an unlimited number of times at no charge, across all fare classes.
This applies from Saver through to Flex fares in Economy, and Special, Saver and Flex fares in Business Class. Economy Flex Plus, Premium Economy, Business Flex Plus and First Class fares were already fully flexible.
Alongside the date change policy, the airline has cut refund fees on Dubai-bound tickets. Economy Saver fares now carry a $50 refund fee, while Flex fares in Economy are charged $25. In Business Class, the fee is $50 on Special and Saver fares and $25 on Flex fares.
For travel beyond Dubai, customers booking from April 2, 2026 receive one free date change anywhere on the Emirates network, including connecting itineraries. Passengers can also hold a fare for 24 hours at no cost.
Emirates has also introduced what it describes as an industry-first travel insurance product called Comprehensive Travel Cover. The policy includes conflict cover with medical expense reimbursement of up to $25,000, a free trip extension of up to 30 days, cancellation cover, baggage protection and unlimited worldwide medical expenses and emergency evacuation.
The cover is available across 27 countries and is not restricted by government travel advisories. It can be added at the time of booking or through Manage Booking.
Where flights are disrupted, Emirates said it will arrange accommodation directly for affected customers, and will rebook passengers on disrupted onward connections at no additional cost, including in cases of airspace disruptions.
Finally, Emirates Skywards members can benefit from a series of promotions running until August 31, 2026: 20 per cent fewer Tier Miles required to reach Silver, Gold and Platinum status; a 20 per cent bonus on Tier Miles earned on Emirates and flydubai flights; and an enhanced Cash+Miles rate of 2,000 Miles equalling $30, up from the standard $15, applicable to flights, excess baggage, lounge access and seat selection.
