Middle East Film and Comic Con has confirmed John Cena as the headline guest for its 2026 edition, taking place at ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi on September 12 and 13.
Cena brings a career that spans professional wrestling, Hollywood, and charity work. He held the WWE World Championship 17 times and remains one of the most recognisable faces in the sport’s history.
His film credits include The Suicide Squad, the Fast and Furious franchise, Barbie, Bumblebee, and Superman. He also holds a Guinness World Record for the most Make-A-Wish Foundation wishes granted by a single individual, and has published a series of children’s books alongside his entertainment work.
Cena joins a lineup that already includes Mackenyu, who plays Zoro in Netflix’s One Piece, and Joonas Suotamo, the Finnish actor who portrayed Chewbacca across the Star Wars sequel trilogy and appeared as Lurch in Netflix’s Wednesday. The organisers say further guest announcements are expected in the coming days.
Fans can meet the guests through the Meet the Stars zone, which offers signings, photo sessions, and panel conversations. The event also includes cosplay showcases, gaming zones, and comic book programming.
VIP tickets are sold out. Standard tickets remain available: a one-day Friday or Sunday pass is priced at AED 160, Saturday at AED 190, and a three-day weekend pass at AED 390. Children aged 6 and under enter free; tickets for ages 7 to 11 are AED 50 at the door.
