Emaar Properties has announced a one-time special dividend of AED4.4 billion, equivalent to AED0.50 per share, following a board meeting held on Wednesday, September 16, 2026.

The Board of Directors approved the distribution at a meeting attended by all nine members, giving it a quorum of 100 per cent. The session ran from 11.30am to 1.30pm, with “Board of Directors’ Resolutions on Capital Allocation Strategy” as its stated agenda.

“The Board approved the distribution of a one-time special dividend to shareholders of AED 4.4 billion (AED 0.5 per share),” the company’s Board Meeting Results Disclosure stated. The payment will be made on top of Emaar’s regular annual dividend.

The distribution is conditional on shareholder approval at a General Assembly and any applicable regulatory sign-offs. Emaar has not yet disclosed the record date or payment date, saying both would be announced in due course.

The meeting followed an earlier market disclosure in which Emaar said its board would convene to review capital allocation strategy with a view to enhancing shareholder value.

Beyond the dividend, the board also examined proposals relating to the use of Emaar’s various businesses to generate additional value for shareholders. The disclosure was signed by Ahmad Almatrooshi, Executive Director of Emaar Properties PJSC.
