Karim Benzema has acquired several residences at Mercedes-Benz Places | Binghatti City and a luxury unit at Vision Iconic, becoming the latest in a string of prominent footballers to buy into Binghatti developments in Dubai.

Binghatti announced the acquisitions at the launch of Vision Iconic, held at Coca-Cola Arena. A signing ceremony between Benzema and Abdullah Binghatti, Head of Sales, took place in front of Binghatti Chairman Muhammad BinGhatti and a room of investors and guests.

The French striker joins a club of football names who have made similar moves. In April 2024, former Germany international Karim Bellarabi acquired a residence at Mercedes-Benz Places | Binghatti.

That November, Neymar Jr. purchased an ultra-luxury Sky Mansion at Bugatti Residences by Binghatti for AED 200 million, a unit with a private car lift, private pool and panoramic city views. Spanish international Aymeric Laporte followed in February 2025 with a penthouse at the same development.

“The decision by some of the world’s most prominent football stars to choose Binghatti developments reflects the position the company has achieved and its ability to attract an exceptional segment of international buyers. We do not simply develop luxury residences; we create destinations with a global identity, bringing together distinctive design, exceptional quality, strategic locations and partnerships with some of the world’s most renowned brands. The growing presence of global stars within our community of owners also reflects Dubai’s firmly established position as one of the world’s leading destinations for wealth, investment and ultra-luxury real estate,” Muhammad BinGhatti, Chairman of Binghatti said in a statement.

Benzema’s purchase comes as Binghatti builds out Mercedes-Benz Places | Binghatti City in Meydan, a development the company describes as the world’s first residential city to carry the Mercedes-Benz name.

The AED 30 billion project covers more than 10 million square feet across 12 towers. Binghatti’s overall portfolio, the company says, now spans more than 100 projects with a combined value exceeding AED 100 billion.
