Etihad Airways will operate a daily service between Abu Dhabi and Damascus from November 14, 2026, lifting frequency on the route from four to seven flights per week.
The carrier launched the route in June 2026, positioning it as a connection for the Syrian diaspora in the UAE, business travellers, and passengers transiting onward through Etihad’s network. The move to a daily schedule gives all three groups more flexibility in how they plan travel.
“Damascus has been an important addition to our network, and a daily service is the natural next step. It brings the Syrian capital within easy reach of our guests in the UAE, and places Damascus just one stop from the many destinations we serve beyond Abu Dhabi,” Arik De, Etihad Airways Chief Revenue & Commercial Officer said in a statement.
From Abu Dhabi, passengers arriving from Damascus can connect to destinations across the Gulf, Asia and North America. Etihad’s North American network includes Toronto, Calgary, New York and Charlotte.
