Emirati billionaire and real estate mogul Mohamed Alabbar said a major development in India is expected to be unveiled within the next few months, signalling a further expansion of his business interests in one of the world’s fastest-growing major economies.

The project will be similar in scale to Eagle Hills’ newly announced multi-billion-dollar Maldives Waterfront and Marina development, he said.

“There’s a lot of work going on. The search is going on, but I might surprise you in the coming few weeks, no, a few months. I would say that we are doing the same, but on one of the most beautiful hill towns in India, and I promise you, I’ll invite you because it will be truly one of a kind,” Mohamed Alabbar, Chairman of Eagle Hills and founder of Emaar said in a media briefing on Monday.
