Dubai Police and Dubai Taxi Corporation have signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening cooperation on tourism security and visitor services, on the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market 2026 exhibition.
The MoU was signed by Brigadier Omar Ali Ahmed Al Matroui Al Shahi, Assistant Director General for Forensic Security Affairs at Dubai Police, and Mansoor Rahma Al Falasi, Group CEO of Dubai Taxi, in the presence of officers and officials from both sides.
Under the agreement, the two parties will coordinate on tourism safety, run joint awareness initiatives for visitors, and participate in shared events and exhibitions. Dubai Taxi drivers and staff will receive training on best practices for interacting with tourists, with a focus on professional conduct and service quality.
Lost and found procedures form a specific part of the agreement. Drivers will be required to check their vehicles at the end of each trip for items left by passengers, and to hand any found property to the nearest police station following approved procedures to ensure it is logged and returned to its owner.
Dubai Police said the MoU fits within its broader strategy of expanding partnerships with government, semi-government, and private entities. The agreement is intended to support the UAE’s National Tourism Strategy 2031 and reinforce Dubai’s position as a safe and sustainable global destination.
