Meraas, part of Dubai Holding Real Estate, has awarded a contract worth AED 1.9 billion to United Engineering Construction (UNEC) for the construction of The Acres villa community.

The agreement covers the first phase of 642 villas and community facilities, with completion scheduled for Q4 2027.

The development comprises three-, four- and five-bedroom villas ranging from 3,048 to 6,001 square feet. Each unit includes a private garden and access to landscaped pathways connecting to the Halo Loop Park and swimmable lagoons.

The project targets an 80 per cent reduction in per capita greenhouse gas emissions compared to the national average and a 33 per cent decrease in water usage compared to the UAE average consumption. All irrigation requirements will be met through treated wastewater.

The Acres has achieved LEED Gold Pre-certification for Cities & Communities.

The development includes a nursery, a school, a clinic, mosques, clubhouses and a retail zone, all connected by the Halo Loop Park and its seven gardens.

Facilities include walking and cycling trails, outdoor fitness areas, children’s playgrounds, swimming pools and sports facilities.

The Acres is located in Dubailand with access via Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street and Emirates Road. The site is positioned 10 minutes from Global Village and five minutes from Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club and Hamdan Sports Complex.
