Choithrams has opened its first four Quickerr stores inside Dubai Metro stations, targeting commuters with a convenience format built around speed and grab-and-go shopping rather than the full grocery assortment of its supermarket branches.
The four initial locations are all on the Green Line: Abu Hail, Stadium, Al Nahda, and Dubai Airport Free Zone (DAFZA) stations. A phased expansion is planned to bring Quickerr to 28 Metro stations in total.
The format is distinct from a standard Choithrams supermarket. Stores stock fresh food, beverages, grab-and-go meals, and everyday essentials, arranged for quick purchase missions by customers on the move. BOUNZ loyalty programme members will have access to combo offers exclusive to Metro locations.
“Choithrams has always evolved by staying close to our customers and anticipating how their lives are changing. Quickerr is a natural extension of that philosophy – bringing the trust, quality and convenience of Choithrams into a faster, more accessible format for customers on the move. Our expansion into the Dubai Metro network marks an important milestone in that journey. With Quickerr, we are bringing Choithrams closer to where people live, work and travel, making everyday essentials more accessible and convenient across the city,” Mark Mortimer-Davies, CEO of Choithrams said in a statement.
The Metro rollout is not the brand’s first step beyond the traditional supermarket. In 2022, Choithrams introduced eight 24-hour convenience stores across hotels in Dubai, serving guests, tourists, and nearby residents. Quickerr applies a similar logic to a different context: the daily commute.
