Virgin Mobile Saudi Arabia has introduced Aman Plans, a child digital protection service built into the mobile network itself rather than delivered through a separate application or device setting.

The service automatically filters harmful content and blocks access to a list of social media platforms including TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, X, Facebook, Threads and Discord. It also activates YouTube Restricted Mode in line with the platform’s global standards.

Protection engages whenever the device connects to the Virgin Mobile network, and the company says this architecture makes it harder to bypass than conventional parental control apps.

Two plans are available. Aman 60 bundles 10GB of data with 100 local minutes. Aman 100 includes 30GB of data and 300 local minutes. Digital protection is integrated into the plan itself rather than offered as a separate add-on.

The company, which operates under the Beyond ONE Saudi Arabia group, says the service does not access personal data, device content, photos, or videos. It blocks the downloading of new content and interaction through restricted apps while on the network, but does not alter anything already stored on a device.

There are notable limitations. Protection is only active on the Virgin Mobile network and does not apply when a child’s device connects to a Wi-Fi network or roams internationally. The company also acknowledged that, given the constantly evolving nature of the internet, blocking 100% of online content cannot be guaranteed.

The launch is framed around the Kingdom’s broader digital transformation, with the company positioning network-level parental controls as a family-oriented complement to Saudi Arabia’s expanding digital infrastructure.
