The UAE Ministry of Interior issued an emergency alert on Friday warning of a potential missile threat and instructing residents to seek shelter in the nearest secure building.
“Due to the current situation, potential missile threats, immediately seek a safe place in the closest secure building, steer away from windows, doors, and open areas. Await further instructions,” the English text of the alert read.
No specific location was named in the alert.
However, the Ministry also issued a public safety alert confirming that the situation is currently safe shortly after
Residents are advised that they may resume their normal daily activities while remaining cautious, taking necessary precautions, and continuing to follow official instructions.
The Ministry later clarified and alerted residents to “disregard” the warnings.
