Dubai-based SAMANA Developers has launched a new premium sub-brand, SAMANA COLLECTA, with its first project anchored at The World Islands and a gross development value exceeding AED 4 billion.

The company, which counts itself among Dubai’s top 10 developers after 54 projects in the emirate, is positioning COLLECTA as a separate platform for a more selective portfolio. The distinction is straightforward: where SAMANA scaled, COLLECTA is designed to curate.

The World Islands project will include 840 branded residences alongside seven floating villas and two tree villas. Studios through to four-bedroom homes are planned, all with sea views, with starting prices below AED 2 million.

Layouts are designed to maximise sightlines to the water through extended glazing and open spatial planning. The residences are being developed in collaboration with what the company describes as a globally recognised Italian luxury brand, with the partner’s identity to be announced separately.

The wider island is being planned as a full-time residential destination rather than a resort or occasional retreat. Amenities will include multiple beaches, a lagoon, a beach club, spas, water-sports facilities, co-working spaces, high-speed connectivity, and everyday retail and services.

A signature floating Italian restaurant developed with a Michelin-recognised culinary partner is among the dining concepts planned. Yacht shuttle services are planned to connect the island to mainland Dubai at 30-minute intervals, with embarkation points to be confirmed closer to launch.

“The first chapter of SAMANA was about proving that we could scale, compete and establish ourselves among Dubai’s leading developers. SAMANA COLLECTA is about what comes next. We are taking what we have learned and applying it to the premium segment, with a sharper focus on location, design, experience and the way people want to live. We see The World Islands as one of Dubai’s most extraordinary waterfront frontiers. The opportunity now is to make island living work for everyday life — not only as somewhere to visit, but as somewhere people can genuinely call home. Dubai is evolving rapidly, and so are the expectations of residents, families, entrepreneurs and professionals. We want to create a destination that responds to that shift while remaining closely connected to the city. Our ambition for COLLECTA extends beyond a single development. Dubai will be where we establish the brand and prove what it stands for, and taking the concept to international destinations,” Imran Farooq, CEO of SAMANA Developers said in a statement.

The practical infrastructure around transport, co-working and connectivity is specifically designed to reflect shifting working patterns, with the company arguing that island living no longer needs to mean a trade-off with professional life.

The World Islands launch is intended to establish the brand in Dubai before the company extends COLLECTA to international lifestyle and waterfront destinations as part of its broader growth pipeline.
