Shah Rukh Khan has announced UNIFYD, a new large-scale music festival bringing together three of India’s most prominent artists for a debut edition at Etihad Live, Yas Island on March 20, 2027.
Produced by D’YAVOL Live and District, in collaboration with the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi and Miral, and in association with Emirates NBD, UNIFYD is designed as a multi-stage international festival rooted in Indian music and culture.
The inaugural lineup features Arijit Singh, Karan Aujla and Sonu Nigam, with more than 15 artists performing across the day. Notably, it will mark the first time Sonu Nigam has performed at a music festival.
Khan serves as curator, shaping the festival’s artistic direction. “I’ve spent a lifetime telling stories on screen and watching them bring people together. Music has that same extraordinary power. UNIFYD, produced by D’YAVOL Live along with District, will unite India’s most incredible artists on a shared stage for the first time. The festival promises to be a true spectacle in terms of its scale, energy, and grandeur,” he said in a statement.
The organisers have framed UNIFYD as a platform for South Asian music at global scale, with ambitions to expand into other cities. The choice of Abu Dhabi for the first edition reflects the strong cultural and commercial ties between India and the UAE, with Yas Island positioning the event alongside established international festival infrastructure.
“Indian music is already global. UNIFYD gives that cultural force a festival platform that matches its scale, ambition and influence. Bringing together artists of this stature on the same day, in a lineup that has never existed before, is what makes the first edition so special. The production, setting and overall experience have been built to match the scale of that moment,” Bunty Singh, Co-Founder, D’YAVOL Live added.
“Indian culture travels further than any single genre or generation, and UNIFYD is built to bring all of it together on one stage. Together with D’YAVOL Live, we are creating an experience for audiences and the diaspora that goes far beyond a single night of performances, something they will remember long after the lights come up,” Rahul Ganjoo, CEO, District further explained.
Tickets are available exclusively through the District app. Emirates NBD cardholders get early access from 9:30 AM GST on October 19, 2026 until 9:30 AM GST on October 20, 2026. General sale opens at 10:30 AM GST on October 20, 2026.
