UAE condemns drone attacks targeting Saudi oil facilities

The United Arab Emirates strongly condemned renewed drone attacks launched from Iraqi territory that attempted to target oil facilities in eastern Saudi Arabia.

The UAE Foreign Ministry described the attacks as a flagrant violation of Saudi sovereignty and a threat to the kingdom’s security and stability.

It reaffirmed the UAE’s full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for measures taken to protect the country.

Iranian officials report US missile strikes across southern provinces

Iranian officials reported missile strikes near Abadan, Shadegan, Arvandkenar and Ahvaz in Khuzestan province, attributing the attacks to the United States.

Two people injured in strikes on Qeshm were taken to hospital, with officials saying both were children as debris-clearing operations continued.

Bushehr Governor Mohammad Mozaffari also told IRNA that two sites near Choghadak were hit by US missiles on Thursday morning, but said no casualties were reported there.

Qatar urges dialogue and adherence to US-Iran agreement

Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani discussed regional developments in separate calls with his Kuwaiti and German counterparts.

The talks focused on diplomatic efforts to reduce tensions and strengthen regional security. Sheikh Mohammed urged all parties to remain committed to dialogue and implement the US-Iran memorandum of understanding, including provisions safeguarding freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz.

US resumes strikes on Iran after attempted missile attack

The US military said it launched a heavy two-hour wave of strikes on dozens of IRGC targets after Iran attempted to hit American forces in the Middle East with ballistic missiles.

CENTCOM said the operation targeted command centres, missile and drone facilities, coastal defences and maritime capabilities. It also claimed all five Iranian missiles were intercepted.

President Donald Trump vowed a forceful response, saying: “It’s our turn to hit them. They know it’s coming.” He later told Fox News that Iran was “going to get a beating” and that US forces would strike “very hard.”

CENTCOM says heavy strikes hit dozens of IRGC targets

US Central Command said its forces carried out a heavy wave of strikes against Iran on July 29 in response to attempted missile attacks on US troops a day earlier.

CENTCOM said dozens of IRGC targets were hit, including command centres, missile and drone facilities, coastal surveillance and defence sites, and maritime capabilities.

It also claimed that all ballistic missiles launched by Iran on July 28 were intercepted. More than 50,000 US service members remain deployed across the Middle East, according to the command.
