flydubai has restored 85 per cent of its network and is pressing ahead with expansion, adding capacity on established routes and opening new markets as travel demand holds firm through the summer and into winter.
The airline now serves more than 125 destinations across 56 countries. In recent months it has resumed and launched services to Aleppo, Benghazi and Bangkok, with the Bangkok route at Don Mueang International Airport scaling from one to three non-stop daily flights in response to strong customer demand.
On September 23, flydubai adds Pokhara as its second destination in Nepal, alongside Kathmandu.

Despite the challenging operating environment, we have remained focused on restoring our network safely and efficiently, adding capacity where we see demand while opening new markets. This would not have been possible without close coordination across Dubai’s aviation and tourism ecosystem, guided by the clear vision of UAE leadership.

As conditions stabilise, we remain well positioned to fully restore our network and support the growing flows of travel, trade and tourism through Dubai over the next few months,” Ghaith Al Ghaith, Chief Executive Officer at flydubai he said in a statement.
Forward demand for the winter season is tracking positively, the airline said, with customers both visiting Dubai and connecting onward across the network for leisure and to visit friends and relatives.
This summer flydubai operated 11 seasonal destinations, with Bodrum, Corfu, Mykonos, Santorini and Tivat among the most popular with UAE-based travellers and inbound connecting passengers.
Capacity increases to Almaty, Bishkek and Tashkent are also underway to meet year-round demand in Central Asia.

To meet increased travel demand, we continue to add capacity to our year-round services, including Almaty, Bishkek and Tashkent. Meanwhile, Thailand remains a popular destination for both leisure and business travel, and the launch of our triple-daily service to Bangkok in November reflects growing momentum across our network and underscores our commitment to providing customers with more convenient and flexible travel options. We are currently operating an average of 2,200 weekly flights and aim to increase this frequency as we receive more aircraft. Our focus remains on further developing our network and supporting the full recovery of operations at DXB to pre-disruption levels,” Hamad Obaidalla, Chief Commercial Officer at flydubai added.
The combined flydubai and Emirates network covers more than 214 unique destinations in over 100 countries, generating more than 4,600 connection opportunities through Dubai. Travellers on codeshare services can connect between Terminal 2 and Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport.
