UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has congratulated students, teachers, administrators, and parents on the start of the new academic year, delivering an audio message that framed education as central to the country’s future.
Addressing students directly, Sheikh Mohamed said: “You, my sons and daughters, are the future of our nation. I therefore call on you to read, to pursue continuous learning, and to uphold our national identity.”
The message pointed to a shifting global landscape as context for that call. “The world is changing, with new opportunities emerging every day,” he said. “This requires a focus on acquiring the skills of the future and making positive use of artificial intelligence and technology.”
He also addressed the adults in the room. Parents and teachers, he said, should “work together, in a spirit of teamwork, to nurture creative and engaged generations who love their country.”
The message closed with a personal note: “May God protect you and grant you success, and may you always remain a source of pride and honour for the UAE.”
