Dubai’s Event Security Committee has completed preparations to secure the 31st season of Global Village, following a field inspection led by Brigadier Obaid Mubarak Al Ketbi, Director of the General Department of Protective Security and Emergency and Chairman of the committee.
The tour was conducted in the presence of Brigadier Hisham Nasser Al Suwaidi, Vice Chairman of the Event Security Committee; Colonel Ahmed Salem Al Mansouri, Deputy Director of the General Department of Protective Security and Emergency for Protective Security Affairs; officers and members drawn from various Dubai entities; and representatives of Global Village management.
Brigadier Al Ketbi said the committee had held multiple coordination meetings with Global Village authorities ahead of the season, citing the venue’s continuous expansion and the need to address challenges arising from its scale of visitor traffic. He noted that Global Village has grown into a global tourism and commercial destination, with visitor numbers rising steadily season on season.
At the close of the inspection, he stressed the importance of collective effort to deliver the season to the highest organisational standard, describing it as a reflection of the UAE’s capabilities in managing large-scale international events. He also commended the readiness of all committee members and their teams.
Global Village’s 31st season marks another year of growth for what has become one of the region’s most-visited annual attractions.
