Ibn Battuta Mall is adding 38 new and upcoming businesses across dining, retail and entertainment, with 21 already open and a further 17 set to launch by the end of 2027.

The dining expansion is the most visible part of the push. Five Guys, Jimmy John’s Sandwiches, Marugame Udon and Caribou Coffee have already opened, joined by Halla Shawarma, Zaika and Butter & Bread. Peet’s Coffee, Ocean Basket, Asia Kitchen and Smoothie Factory are among those still to come.

On the entertainment side, Roxy Cinemas is the headline addition, bringing an evening anchor to a mall that has historically skewed toward daytime shopping. Hopa Loompa Entertainment will also open, adding to existing family attractions Zamania by Leo & Loona and Like Bricks, with Toy Station also in the pipeline.

The fashion and lifestyle mix is expanding too. Jack & Jones, Anta, Tanishq, Magrabi, Mumuso and Suit Sartoria have recently opened, with OWNDAYS and Puzzle Supplements to follow. Chemist Warehouse, Midi, My Shops and Cantata will add further variety.

A set of community-facing openings rounds out the slate, including ADCB, healthcare provider Amit Care, Doctor M, music school Melodica and Desco Copy & Print Centre. The mall says residential growth in the surrounding area over the past decade has expanded its customer base and shaped the direction of its tenant strategy.

Ibn Battuta Mall, which is operated by Dubai Retail and has more than 350 businesses, opened in 2005. Its six courts are each designed around destinations from the travels of 14th-century explorer Ibn Battuta. The mall currently draws around 1.5 million visits per month.
