Awqaf Dubai has inaugurated Waqf Tadawi, a healthcare endowment valued at AED6.5 million, designed to fund medical treatment for low-income patients and those in financial need, regardless of nationality.
The project, developed in partnership with Al Tadawi Healthcare Group, centres on a building in Al Satwa constructed on a 2,515-square-foot plot. The structure includes three residential floors, retail outlets, and service facilities. Returns generated by the property will be directed toward covering treatment costs at Al Tadawi’s facilities.
The inauguration was attended by Lieutenant General Dhahi Khalfan Tamim, Deputy Chief of Police and Public Security in Dubai, who contributed to the project personally, alongside representatives from Tarahum Charity Foundation, Dar Al Ber Society, and several individual philanthropists.
Supporting healthcare endowments represents a sustainable investment in people, Dhahi Khalfan Tamim said, describing Waqf Tadawi as an initiative that transforms giving into a resource whose impact continues over time.
Essa Abdulla Al Ghurair, Chairman of Awqaf Dubai’s Board of Directors, framed the endowment as consistent with Dubai’s broader push to build an ecosystem for charitable and humanitarian action. Endowments are one of the most enduring forms of giving, he said, adding that the project’s returns would ease the financial burden on patients while preserving their dignity.
Ali Al Mutawa, Secretary General of Awqaf Dubai, said the collaboration with Al Tadawi Healthcare Group would help the endowment reach more beneficiaries and deliver specialised treatment to high medical standards.
Marwan Ibrahim Haji Nasser, Chairman and CEO of Al Tadawi Healthcare Group, said the endowment reflects the group’s social responsibility commitments and reaffirmed its intent to support beneficiaries with qualified medical teams in line with international standards.
