Red Sea Global has opened Grand Hyatt The Red Sea on Shura Island, bringing the destination’s total resort count to 12 and adding what the developer describes as its largest purpose-built events venue to date.
The resort comprises 430 rooms, suites, and villas alongside more than 2,400 square metres of function space. That includes a 1,390-square-metre grand ballroom, a 683-square-metre junior ballroom, dedicated conference rooms, and outdoor event areas suited to everything from corporate gatherings to weddings.
“Beyond introducing a globally recognized premium brand to the destination, the Grand Hyatt The Red Sea strengthens our capacity to host international conferences, corporate gatherings, and major events. As we continue to welcome visitors from around the world, we are developing the infrastructure to accommodate both leisure and business travelers, underscoring Saudi Arabia’s position as an emerging global tourism and events destination,” John Pagano, Group CEO at Red Sea Global said in a statement.
The leisure offering covers beachfront pools, indoor and outdoor swimming facilities, a fitness centre, and the Ethereal Spa with 10 treatment rooms.
Family amenities include Camp Hyatt for younger guests and a dedicated space for teenagers. The culinary programme spans international cuisines, beachfront dining, and specialty restaurants led by what RSG describes as globally recognised culinary talent.
The property sits near Shura Marina, which now offers 159 berths for yachts of up to 125 metres. Guests also have access to La Guérite, the French Riviera-inspired restaurant and beach club already operating on the island, as well as nearby golf.
Red Sea Global positions the opening as part of its broader push to build out Saudi Arabia’s MICE and leisure infrastructure, in line with the Kingdom’s tourism diversification targets.
