Cake Lab, a family-run patisserie that expanded from a single shop in Tashkent in 2012 to 18 branches and more than 600 employees across Uzbekistan, has launched in Dubai following a soft opening on the city’s delivery platforms.

Every product is made at the brand’s own production facility in Al Quoz, which has been operating since June 2026. Orders are fulfilled through Deliveroo, Careem, noon, Keeta and directly via WhatsApp.

The business was built on a founding principle the family still applies: only make what you would serve to your own children. Fourteen years and more than 300 recipes later, that standard shapes decisions customers rarely notice – real butter, unchanged recipes, consistent portions. In Uzbekistan, that reputation has translated into the kind of loyalty that spans generations.

In Dubai, Uzbek pastry chefs who hold the original recipes work alongside local hires at the Al Quoz facility. The team also attends masterclasses led by internationally recognised pastry professionals.

Since the soft launch, éclairs have become the most-ordered item, led by Pecan and Chocolate varieties made from choux pastry baked fresh daily.

Other early favourites include the Honey Cake, made to the original Tashkent recipe with thin honey layers and custard cream; a Cherry Cake with chocolate sponge, ganache, cherry-lime coulis and chocolate mousse; and a Coffee Cake shaped like a coffee bean, with chocolate-almond shortcrust, coffee cream and mousse under a velour coating. Macarons, tarts and bite-sized tartlets round out the current menu.

Beyond home delivery, Cake Lab also supplies cafés, restaurants, hotels and offices across Dubai. A retail store is planned to follow.

“Cake Lab has always been a family business, and we treat every customer as part of that family. In Dubai we found a city where people from all over the world come together around the table, and that is exactly where our desserts belong. We brought our chefs, our recipes and our standards from, Tashkent, and we are making everything fresh here, with the same care we have always given our customers at home,” the Cake Lab founding family said in a statement.
