Qatar Airways is resuming services to four cities in Saudi Arabia over the coming winter season, adding capacity to a market where it now carries more than 2.3 million passengers annually.
Flights to Qassim restart first, on October 25, 2026, followed by Taif on October 31. Yanbu and Tabuk return to the schedule on January 2 and January 3, 2027 respectively. Each route will operate twice weekly, connecting the four cities to the airline’s Doha hub at Hamad International Airport.
The resumptions bring Qatar Airways’ total Saudi operation to more than 155 weekly flights this winter, a figure the airline says represents a rise of over 10 per cent compared to its summer schedule. The Riyadh route alone now runs 49 weekly flights, up from 35 in June 2026.
With the four cities restored, Qatar Airways’ Saudi network will span 13 destinations: Abha, AlUla, Qassim, Dammam, Hail, Jeddah, Madinah, NEOM (scheduled to resume in the second half of 2027), Riyadh, Tabuk, Taif, The Red Sea, and Yanbu.
Passengers on the busier Saudi routes get access to Starlink-powered Wi-Fi at no additional charge. In July 2026, the airline operated more than 685 Starlink-equipped flights across Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam alone, on widebody aircraft fitted with the system gate-to-gate.
