YUNG, the independent UAE magazine and media platform founded in Dubai in 2022, has appointed Farah Kreidieh as Editor in Chief. She joins from Marie Claire Arabia, where she served in the same role, and brings more than two decades of experience across publishing, fashion, and luxury in the Middle East.
Kreidieh’s appointment takes effect in September 2026. With the editorial leadership now separated, founder Sandra Yeghiazarian will remain as CEO, shifting her focus to business development, new divisions, strategic partnerships, and broader expansion of the YUNG platform beyond publishing.
Yeghiazarian launched YUNG as an independent voice from the Arab world, covering fashion, music, art, and culture with what she describes as a global outlook rooted in the region. “This is a very important moment for YUNG, and for me personally. I built YUNG independently in the UAE because I believed there was space for a title from this region with its own voice, perspective and cultural point of view. Bringing someone of Farah’s calibre and experience into that vision feels like a defining moment in our growth. What makes this appointment particularly meaningful is seeing an editor with Farah’s experience choose a homegrown, independent title for her next chapter. It says something about how far regional publishing has come and, importantly, where it is going. It also gives me the space to focus on what comes next: growing the business, developing new divisions and partnerships, and taking what we have built in the UAE into its next phase. I couldn’t think of a better person than Farah to help shape where YUNG goes next,” she said.
For Kreidieh, the move represents a deliberate choice to back an independent regional title at a moment when Arab creative culture is drawing growing international attention. “I’m incredibly excited to join YUNG and begin this next chapter. What excites me most is the opportunity to lead a homegrown, independent UAE title at a moment when the creative voice of this region has never felt more relevant globally. YUNG has built a distinct identity, one that is rooted here yet ambitious and international in its outlook. I see tremendous potential in what Sandra and the team have created, and I’m looking forward to building on that foundation together: strengthening YUNG’s editorial voice, championing the talent and ideas shaping our culture, and taking the platform confidently into its next phase,” she said.
Under her leadership, YUNG says it will continue to platform established and emerging talent from the Arab world and its diaspora, while deepening its international creative network.
