ADNOC has launched an integrated international platform for liquefied natural gas marketing and trading, headquartered at Abu Dhabi Global Market. The platform brings together the marketing operations of ADNOC Gas and XRG with the trading capabilities of ADNOC Trading under a single commercial structure.

The platform is targeting 47 million tonnes per year of LNG marketing capacity by 2035, which would place it among the largest such operations globally. It is designed to support ADNOC’s expanding LNG portfolio, including the Ruwais LNG project and XRG’s international gas and infrastructure expansion, giving customers broader access to supply.

Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and Managing Director and CEO of ADNOC, said the platform “brings together ADNOC’s marketing, trading and shipping capabilities through a unified global hub in Abu Dhabi,” adding that it represents a step change in the scale and flexibility of the company’s LNG operations. He framed the launch in terms of meeting rising global demand, noting that the world will need reliable, large-scale suppliers as LNG demand grows.

Rashid Khalfan Al Mazrouei has been appointed Head of LNG Marketing and Supply Development. Based at Abu Dhabi Global Market, he will oversee LNG portfolio marketing for both XRG and ADNOC Gas, working alongside ADNOC Trading to consolidate operations within the new platform. Existing commercial arrangements for ADNOC Gas LNG cargoes will remain unchanged.

ADNOC Gas has delivered more than 3,500 LNG shipments globally since 1977. ADNOC Trading has built a substantial third-party LNG portfolio over four years, with offices in Abu Dhabi, Singapore, and Geneva. Its LNG shipping desk was ranked in 2025 among the most active charterers in both the physical and freight derivatives markets worldwide.

ADNOC Logistics and Services has also expanded its owned LNG tanker fleet to 20 vessels, including 14 modern two-stroke dual-fuel carriers. XRG maintains supply hubs and offices in Abu Dhabi and London.
