flydubai touched down in Benghazi on June 17, becoming the first UAE carrier to operate scheduled flights to Benghazi Benina International Airport. The new route runs three times weekly, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, departing Dubai International’s Terminal 3 at 06:50 and arriving at 10:45 local time.

The Benghazi addition brings flydubai’s Africa network to 13 destinations across nine countries. The service operates under the carrier’s codeshare partnership with Emirates, giving passengers access to combined network connections on a single ticket with through baggage check-in.

“With the busy summer period upon us and as we continue to scale up our operations, our customers can benefit from a new gateway to Africa with the launch of our new nonstop service to Benghazi. We are already seeing healthy demand for our three weekly flights to Benghazi and look forward to growing our presence in Libya over the years.
