The UAE Ministry of Education has approved the end-of-term exam timetable for students in grades 5 through 12 at government schools and private schools following the ministry curriculum, marking the close of the 2025–2026 academic year.
Exams for grades 5 to 11 begin on Wednesday 24 June with mathematics, followed by English on 25 June, sciences or specialist science subjects on 29 June, Arabic on 30 June, Islamic education on 1 July, and social studies on 2 July. Students in certain tracks will sit a biology exam on 3 July to conclude their assessments.
Grade 12 students in the general, advanced, and elite tracks follow a slightly different sequence. After mathematics on 24 June and English on 25 June, they sit chemistry on 26 June, physics on 29 June, Arabic on 30 June, Islamic education on 1 July, and social studies on 2 July, with biology closing the schedule on 3 July. Students in the applied track begin with applied mathematics on 24 June and complete their exams by 2 July.
The ministry also confirmed that final assignments and projects for Group B subjects must be submitted between 15 and 19 June, across all grades and tracks covered by the centralised exams.
All exams for grades 5 to 12 will be held electronically within schools, and students are required to bring their own devices on exam day. The English writing component for grade 12 will also be conducted electronically. Teachers are not permitted to read exam questions aloud to students during sittings.
Grade 12 students enrolled in private schools will take their centralised exams at government schools, under the supervision of the relevant authorities, to ensure uniform procedures are applied nationwide.
Timing differs by grade. Students in grades 5 to 11 will sit exams from 9am to 11am, while grade 12 students are scheduled for afternoon sessions, generally from 12pm to 2pm, in line with the timetable set for each track.
