Salik Company P.J.S.C. has renewed its five-year contract with US-based tolling technology firm TransCore, continuing a partnership that dates back to 2006, when TransCore helped design Dubai’s original tolling system.
The agreement was signed by Salik CEO Ibrahim Al Haddad and TransCore CEO Whitt Hall, in the presence of Salik Chairman Mattar Al Tayer.
The renewed contract will cover continued development of systems and technologies supporting Dubai’s toll operations, with plans to deploy artificial intelligence and advanced digital solutions to improve performance and future readiness.
Financially, Salik said there has been no material change from the previous contract. Annual operating expenses are expected to remain between 5% and 5.5% of total annual revenues.
The renewed agreement does, however, introduce tightened requirements around sustainability, governance, cybersecurity, maintenance, and business continuity, and provides for system upgrades to accommodate future initiatives.

Beyond tolling, the partnership is intended to support Salik’s ambitions as a broader integrated payments platform, extending its reach into parking payments and other mobility services.
