Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Economy and Tourism visited the Abu Dhabi Vegetable Oil Company (ADVOC) to assess the efficiency of food supply chains and strategic stock levels of essential commodities amid current regional developments.
Bin Touq affirmed that the UAE maintains an integrated infrastructure and flexible supply chains to ensure the sustainability and abundance of food supplies, adding that the Ministry of Economy and Tourism would issue decisions this week to strengthen price monitoring mechanisms and enhance market transparency.
He stressed that food security is a national priority and a “red line,” noting that the UAE’s long-term strategies have focused on building a system that guarantees sustainable food supplies in line with the “We the UAE 2031” vision.
ADVOC has an annual production capacity exceeding 200,000 metric tonnes and storage capacity of over 40,000 metric tonnes, distributing nearly 17 cooking oil brands across local and regional markets including the GCC, Middle East, Asia, North Africa and the Horn of Africa.

US President Donald Trump announced that American military operations in Iran could conclude within two to three weeks, telling reporters at the White House on Tuesday that reaching a deal with Tehran is not a prerequisite for ending the war.
Trump said the US has achieved its primary objective of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons, while noting that the change in the Iranian government was not among the original planned goals. He described the participation of Iranian officials in ongoing negotiations as a positive step, but stressed that the absence of a deal would not delay the end of military operations.
The new timeframe represents an extension of earlier White House estimates, which had projected the war would last between four and six weeks.
