Nvidia reported a 126 per cent surge in net profit to $59.7 billion for its second fiscal quarter, which ended 26 July, as revenue more than doubled year on year to $96.2 billion.
The world’s largest AI chip manufacturer now expects revenue of around $108 billion in the current third fiscal quarter, plus or minus 2 per cent. Even at the bottom of that range, the figure edges past the average analyst forecast.
The company also guided for a gross margin of approximately 74 per cent, give or take 0.5 percentage points, down slightly from 75 per cent in the second quarter.
Based on Wednesday’s closing price, Nvidia’s market capitalisation stands at $5.07 trillion, making it the most valuable publicly listed company in the world.
