Sheikh Suroor bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, in his capacity as owner of Maqam International Holding Company, and Yusuff Ali Musaliam Abdul Kader, Chairman of LuLu Group, have signed an agreement to manage and operate a new hypermarket in Al Shahama, Abu Dhabi.

The site will span more than 210,000 square feet. Sunad Real Estate Management, a subsidiary of Maqam International Holding, will develop the project, with construction carried out by Benaa Al Mostaqbal Contracting under the supervision of Bunyan Engineering Consultancy.

The hypermarket is scheduled to open in 2027, timed to coincide with celebrations marking the UAE’s 56th Eid Al Etihad.

Yusuff Ali Musaliam Abdul Kader said the project builds on the group’s ties with Abu Dhabi dating back to 1980, noting the emirate’s role in LuLu Group’s growth across the region.
