Kailash Parbat, the Indian vegetarian restaurant chain founded in Colaba, Mumbai in 1952, has opened its newest UAE outlet at Mall of the Emirates, becoming the only pure vegetarian restaurant in the mall’s food court.
The brand was established by Bhau Parsram Mulchandani as a modest street-side chaat stall that grew into one of Mumbai’s best-known vegetarian dining institutions.
Today it operates across the GCC, Southeast Asia, the USA and Europe, with the Mulchandani family overseeing different markets. The Mall of the Emirates opening is its fourth UAE location, alongside existing outlets at BurJuman, Al Seef and Oud Metha, plus a presence in Abu Dhabi.
Brothers Yash and Harry Mulchandani have led the brand’s international expansion, bringing what they describe as an unchanged set of recipes and values to each new market.
“When we brought Kailash Parbat to Dubai, our vision was simple—to create a place where people could experience the same warmth, nostalgia and flavours that families have grown up with for decades. Dubai has always embraced Indian cuisine, and we wanted to create a space that feels familiar, whether you’re visiting us for a quick chaat, a family meal or simply craving the flavours of home,” Yash Mulchandani said in a statement.
The menu covers the full breadth of the brand’s repertoire: pani puri, chaat platters, Sindhi staples like dal pakwan, North Indian classics such as chole bhature, street food, and mithai. An average meal for two is priced at AED 50.
The outlet is open daily from 9am to 11pm on the ground floor food court, nearest to Parking D.
