A padel court at Dubai Opera Garden, directly opposite the Burj Khalifa, is taking shape as the centrepiece of the 2026 Emaar Dubai Premier Padel P1 tournament. Organisers have dubbed it the “World’s Most Iconic Padel Court,” and say further details on its design and opening arrangements will follow in the weeks ahead.
The tournament itself runs from November 8 to 15 at the Hamdan Sports Complex, under the patronage of Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Dubai Sports Council.
Several of the sport’s highest-ranked players are confirmed to compete, including Agustín Tapia, Fede Chingotto, Ale Galán, Delfi Brea, and Bea González, with prize money and ranking points on the line across both men’s and women’s draws.
Saeed Hareb, Secretary General of the Dubai Sports Council, said the combination of world-class facilities and landmark settings reflected what Dubai was trying to do with major sport. “Hosting the tournament’s main competitions at the Hamdan Sports Complex, alongside distinctive initiatives staged at the emirate’s prominent landmarks, reflects the integration between Dubai’s world-class sporting infrastructure and its global attractions. This synergy continues to draw the world’s top athletic talent, deliver exceptional experiences for spectators, and foster the continued growth and community reach of padel,” he said in a statement.
“Dubai continues to set new benchmarks in sports and entertainment, and launching distinctive initiatives such as the ‘World’s Most Iconic Padel Court’ reflects the emirate’s ongoing ambition to go beyond conventional boundaries. With the support of Emaar, we are taking a new step toward solidifying Dubai’s position as a global destination for padel and bringing the sport closer to a wider audience by delivering experiences that inspire both players and fans alike,” Ivan Modia, Chief Executive Officer of Gallop Global and Tournament Director of Emaar Dubai Premier Padel P1 added.
The event opens with a showcase day before the main professional draw begins, with fan activations planned throughout the eight days of competition.
