Tickets for Etihad Rail’s Dubai to Abu Dhabi service are now available to book through the operator’s website, eithadrail.ae, giving travellers their first opportunity to secure seats before the route launches.
The service is set to begin on September 30, when Dubai Al Yalayis Station in Jumeirah Golf Estates opens for passenger operations. The station will connect directly to Etihad Rail’s Mohammed Bin Zayed City station in Abu Dhabi, with the journey expected to take around 57 minutes.
Al Yalayis Station sits close to Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station, offering a link between the national rail network and Dubai Metro for passengers travelling onward into the city.
Etihad Rail launched its first passenger route, between Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, in June.
The operator said more than 70,000 tickets were sold during that early phase, with passengers booking an average of 12 days in advance.
