Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez are married. The Portuguese footballer, 41, wed his longtime partner in a civil ceremony in Cascais, Portugal on August 11, 2026, according to a press release issued by the couple. The ceremony was described as a “private and intimate moment” attended by their five children.
Ronaldo marked the occasion on social media with a photograph of their hands bearing wedding bands, captioned simply: “C❤️G.”
The date carried deliberate symmetry: Rodríguez, 32, had announced their engagement exactly one year earlier on 11 August 2025, posting a close-up of her oval-cut diamond ring with the caption “Sí, quiero. En esta y en todas mis vidas” — “Yes, I do. In this and in all my lives.”
In a December 2025 interview with Elle Spain, Rodríguez recalled being caught off guard by the proposal. “The truth is, when he proposed, it was the last thing on my mind,” she said. “It took me a long time to process the enormous stone he gave me. I was so shocked that I left it in my room and didn’t open it in the sunlight until the next day.” Of the ring itself, she was more definitive: “It’s the least he could offer me after 10 years of waiting.”
The couple share five children: twins Eva Maria and Mateo, 9, daughter Alana, 8, daughter Bella, 4, and Ronaldo’s 16-year-old son Cristiano Jr. from a previous relationship. In April 2022, Ronaldo and Rodríguez announced the death of Bella’s newborn twin brother, Ángel.
