Red Sea Global has announced 32 additional flights to The Red Sea destination ahead of Eid al-Adha, as the regenerative tourism developer responds to what it describes as a “growing appetite” for travel within Saudi Arabia.

The expanded schedule, operating between May 21 and 31, takes the total number of flights to the destination to 64 over the period, with services departing from Riyadh, Jeddah, Dubai and Doha, the company said in a statement.

Riyadh will see the largest increase, with 46 total departures including 24 additional services. Jeddah will operate 18 flights, eight of which are newly added. Regional hubs Dubai and Doha will each operate eight flights over the same period, serving both domestic and international travellers.

The destination’s ADRENA adventure and entertainment district, which opened earlier this year, offers more than 20 land and water experiences. Activities include skateboarding, wakeboarding, cliff diving, children’s waterplay and a floating inflatable obstacle course. The district is also home to Saudi Arabia’s largest saltwater surf pool, measuring 215 metres in length and capable of producing waves of up to 2.1 metres.

This Eid, The Red Sea will host a programme of dining, music, entertainment and cultural experiences. These include a five-course tasting menu by Michelin-starred chef Osman Sezener at Desert Rock, late-night jazz and heritage music performances, and beachfront barbecues. Shura Marina will feature a selection of Saudi retail brands.

Families can take part in poolside activities, a kids’ DJ festival and a nightclub, as well as marine-themed edutainment. International surf brand Hurley will lead a series of activations at ADRENA. Ladies Day programming will run at the district on Mondays and Thursdays.
