Projectile strikes site in Iran’s Khorramabad

An enemy projectile struck a location in Khorramabad early Friday, Lorestan deputy governor Saeed Pourali told Iran’s state news agency IRNA.

Authorities were assessing possible casualties and property damage, he said.

CENTCOM says 12 vessels redirected under Iran blockade

US Central Command said that since resuming its naval blockade against Iran nine days ago, its forces had redirected 12 commercial vessels and disabled another.

CENTCOM said the measures were intended to prevent ships from entering or leaving Iranian ports and coastal areas.

Kuwait air defences confront new wave of Iranian attacks

Kuwait’s military said its air-defence systems were responding to hostile missile and drone attacks that it attributed to Iran.

The General Staff said any explosions heard were caused by interception operations and urged the public to follow official security and safety instructions.

Trump ties Saudi civil nuclear deal to Abraham Accords

US President Donald Trump said a proposed civil nuclear agreement between the US Department of Energy and Saudi Arabia would be approved only if Riyadh joins the Abraham Accords.

Trump said the programme would be limited to peaceful, non-military purposes and would not permit uranium enrichment. He added that Washington does not oppose civilian nuclear facilities operating without enriched material.

Eight countries condemn Israeli actions at Al-Aqsa Mosque

The foreign ministers of Qatar, Jordan, the UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Egypt strongly condemned what they described as escalating Israeli actions at Al-Aqsa Mosque, including settler incursions, the raising of an Israeli flag and the installation of police tents.

In a joint statement, they said the measures violated international law and the historic and legal status quo in occupied East Jerusalem. They also rejected restrictions on access to the Old City and its places of worship.

The ministers reaffirmed Jordan’s custodial role over Jerusalem’s holy sites and called on Israel to remove access restrictions and stop obstructing Muslim worshippers.

CENTCOM says strikes on Iran continued for 13th night

US Central Command said its forces carried out a 13^th consecutive night of strikes against Iranian military targets on July 23.

CENTCOM said the operation targeted command centres, drone-storage sites, communications networks, coastal surveillance facilities and maritime capabilities.

It also said the Strait of Hormuz remained open to commercial shipping with US military support, despite recent attacks it attributed to the IRGC. More than 50,000 US service members are operating across the Middle East, according to the command.

Araghchi warns US aggression will raise the cost of a deal

Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi accused figures within the US administration of ignoring conditions on the ground and focusing on the 2028 presidential election.

He warned that further military action would increase the price President Donald Trump would have to pay to secure the agreement he is seeking.

Trump says Iranian funds will cover shipping damages

US President Donald Trump said that, until further notice, the United States would use Iranian funds under its control to compensate for damage to ships, cargo and related property.

Trump acknowledged that the costs could be substantial but described the proposed measure as fair and equitable.
