UAE consumers are growing more deliberate about vehicle purchases, prioritising long-term costs over brand prestige, according to new data from dubizzle, the country’s largest automotive marketplace.

Figures comparing June 2026 searches against the prior month show Toyota retained its position as the most viewed brand on the platform, drawing more than 3.6 million views during the period and recording the highest month-on-month growth among all manufacturers. Mitsubishi, Kia, Porsche and Mercedes-Benz also posted increases in consumer engagement.

“We’re seeing a more informed and pragmatic buyer than ever before. Today’s consumers are approaching vehicle purchases with a long-term mindset, looking beyond the initial purchase price to evaluate factors such as reliability, maintenance costs, fuel efficiency and resale value. Marketplace data increasingly shows that practicality has become one of the strongest drivers of demand, with brands that consistently deliver on quality, durability and overall value continuing to perform exceptionally well on our platform,” Sherif Magdy, Sales Director at dubizzle Cars said in a statement.

Taken together, Japanese manufacturers attracted over 9.5 million ad views, reflecting buyer confidence in their reliability, durability and resale performance.

That interest carried through to individual models: the Toyota Corolla Cross nearly doubled its search volume month-on-month, the Land Cruiser sustained high engagement, and the Mitsubishi Outlander saw strong growth as buyers continued to seek practical family SUVs.

The most telling signal in the data is the price distribution. Vehicles priced below AED 100,000 generated more than 16.5 million views and recorded the steepest growth in consumer interest.

The AED 100,000–200,000 bracket also grew steadily, while searches at the luxury end of the market were comparatively subdued.
