The Abu Dhabi Real Estate Centre (ADREC) has launched a new service allowing eligible Emirati citizens to register requests to purchase land near where their relatives live, with the Ramah area in Al Ain serving as the first location for the rollout.
The service is available through the Abu Dhabi government platform TAMM and was developed jointly with the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority. ADREC says it aligns with the goals of Year of the Family 2026, which centres on strengthening family bonds and supporting residential stability.
Applications are submitted via TAMM using a UAE PASS digital identity. Once logged in, applicants select an available plot, complete an ownership declaration confirming eligibility and the family relationship, then submit the application electronically for review.
Where only one qualifying application is received for a given plot, purchase procedures proceed directly. Where multiple eligible applicants seek the same land, allocation is decided through a bidding mechanism intended to ensure transparency and fairness.
Rashid Al-Amira, Director General of ADREC, said the service “represents an extension of the centre’s services directed to citizens, by providing an integrated digital journey that begins with submitting the application and ends with registering the property.”
Eligibility is limited to citizens of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi who have previously received a housing benefit, whether land or housing, and who are either originally from the area or related up to the third degree to a current resident.
The land is allocated for personal use only. Renting the plot or any dwelling built on it is not permitted, and each citizen may benefit from the service once. Resale is allowed, but only to other area residents who meet the same eligibility conditions.
