Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) has announced the appointment of its first Chief Dog Officer (CDO), Chase, a one-year-old English Cocker Spaniel.
The role has been created to recognise the presence of pets within the neighbourhood and to engage residents and professionals who live or work in JLT.
The Chief Dog Officer initiative invited nominations from across the neighbourhood. Submissions included accounts from residents and professionals describing the role dogs play in daily life in JLT.

Entries were reviewed with community partners, following which Chase was selected. The organisers cited his conduct and engagement within the neighbourhood as factors in the decision.
According to the announcement, his role is to “champion good behaviour, celebrate pet-friendly living, and bring tail-wagging charm to the neighbourhood”.
As Chief Dog Officer, Chase will be responsible for:
- Welcoming dogs and pet owners who move to JLT
- Encouraging behaviour in shared spaces, including the dog park
- Highlighting pet-friendly cafés, walking routes and outdoor areas
- Taking part in neighbourhood gatherings and pet-related events
- Supporting pet businesses operating in the area
Outfit designed by JLT-based pet boutique
To mark the appointment, Chase has received an outfit created by Max & Mia, a pet boutique based in JLT.
The outfit uses colours linked to the neighbourhood. Max & Mia produces pet clothing collections linked to occasions including Valentine’s Day, Halloween and Diwali.
Chase has also received a one-year Gold Membership at Noble Veterinary Clinics, JLT.

- Prepared meats and treats from Furchild Pet Nutrition
