Emirates will introduce four flights per week between Dubai and Manila from 2 April as part of its expansion in Southeast Asia and commitment to the Philippines.
The new service will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Flight EK330 will depart Dubai at 12:45hrs and arrive in Manila at 1:25hrs the following day. The return flight EK331 will depart Manila at 3:25hrs and arrive in Dubai at 8:25hrs. All times are local.
Emirates will operate flights EK330/331 using its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, which features 8 suites in First Class, 42 seats in Business Class, and 304 seats in Economy Class.
Emirates expands Philippines service with new Dubai-Manila flights starting April
The expansion will increase connectivity for travellers, including Filipino diaspora across Emirates’ network in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Italy, Spain, United States, Kuwait, Germany, France, Netherlands, Switzerland, Turkey, Portugal and South Africa.
The new flights will provide connections from and to Canada and the United States, as well as late morning departures from Europe including Milan, London, Budapest and Athens via Dubai.
Passengers will have access to Emirates’ ice inflight entertainment system, which offers more than 6,500 channels of entertainment in over 40 languages including Tagalog. The system features films, television programmes, music, games, audio books and podcasts.
The airline will serve dishes and beverages across all classes.
Customers can book tickets on emirates.com, the Emirates App, or through travel agents and Emirates’ retail stores.
Each Boeing 777-300ER aircraft can carry up to 20 tonnes of cargo in its bellyhold with a full passenger load. The four flights will increase cargo capacity between Manila and Dubai, as well as trade markets across Europe, the United States and the Indian subcontinent.
The UAE and the Philippines have signed a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Emirates operates services in Manila, Cebu and Clark.
Dubai-Manila route gets four additional Emirates flights per week from April 2
Emirates launched services to Manila in 1990 and has expanded its operations to include a service to Cebu and Clark. The airline operates 28 flights per week to the Philippines and will increase to 34 flights from April 2.
Through its partnership with Philippine Airlines (PAL), Emirates connects travellers to points beyond its network, including five points via Manila, seven points via Cebu and three points via Clark. The partnership offers baggage check-through to destinations.
Last year, Emirates opened an Emirates World Store in Manila, its first in Southeast Asia. The store is located at Shangri-La The Fort, Manila in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City.
Customers can view products at the store including the A380 onboard lounge bar and browse Emirates-branded merchandise and travel accessories including the airline’s NBA collection.
