UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan welcomed Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, who is on a working visit to the country.
The meeting was held at the Zayed National Museum in Abu Dhabi, where Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed welcomed the French President.
The two leaders exchanged New Year greetings and expressed their wishes for continued progress and prosperity for both nations and their peoples.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed and Macron discuss bilateral relations during Abu Dhabi visit
During the meeting, they discussed the relations between the UAE and France and explored opportunities to further strengthen ties, particularly in the fields of economy, investment, and culture, as well as renewable energy, technology, artificial intelligence, sustainability, and other areas aligned with the two countries’ vision for development and prosperity.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi; Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Special Affairs; a number of ministers and officials.
The meeting was also attended by the delegation accompanying the French President, which included a number of ministers and officials.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed hosted a luncheon in honour of the French President and the accompanying delegation.
Macron arrived in the UAE, where he was received at the Presidential Flight in Abu Dhabi by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, along with several officials.

Macron also toured the Zayed National Museum in the Saadiyat Cultural District, accompanied by Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
During the visit, the French President and the accompanying delegation toured the museum’s galleries, including the section dedicated to the UAE’s Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.
This gallery highlights Sheikh Zayed’s values and legacy, reflecting his commitment to coexistence, nation-building, and the fostering of cooperation and dialogue among nations and peoples worldwide.
Zayed National Museum showcases a collection of more than 3,000 artefacts, with 1,500 currently on public display. The visitor journey through the museum’s six galleries begins with the Our Beginning gallery, which is dedicated to the life and leadership of Sheikh Zayed.
His story is brought to life through recordings of his voice, photographs and film footage, as well as belongings, letters, and correspondence.
