Dubai Land Department sent a delegation to PropTech Connect Europe 2026 in London on September 9 and 10, using the two-day event to present Dubai’s integrated real estate ecosystem to an international audience of investors, technology companies and decision-makers.

The department’s pitch centred on a regulatory and digital environment that combines property registration, market data, transaction automation and AI-enabled services under one framework.

Officials highlighted specific platforms, including the ‘Initial Registration’ system, which consolidates project registration, real estate transactions and escrow account management into a single digital journey, and the Dubai REST app, which gives users access to property data and services.

Majid Al Marri, CEO of the Corporate Support Sector at DLD, addressed a session on how economic and geopolitical shifts are reshaping real estate strategies. He described Dubai’s resilience as rooted in clear regulation, reliable data infrastructure and property rights protection, and said the department’s London appearance carried a specific message for the PropTech sector. “Dubai provides an environment where promising solutions can be tested, applied and scaled within a dynamic real estate market,” he said.

Al Marri also participated in a workshop on how international PropTech firms can engage with Dubai’s ecosystem, referencing the Dubai PropTech Hub and the REACH Middle East programme as formal entry points.

The session also touched on the First Time Home Buyer programme, which the department said has attracted more than 45,000 registrants and helped over 3,200 residents purchase their first homes in Dubai.

Mohammed Yahya, Director of the Real Estate Transactions Department, took part in a session on shifting buyer and investor expectations, arguing that real estate value now extends well beyond the physical asset to include service access, information transparency and the quality of the digital purchasing journey. He called for deeper data integration across developers, regulators, banks, brokers and technology companies.

On the sidelines, DLD signed memoranda of understanding and held bilateral meetings with representatives from the City of London. The delegation also hosted a VIP dinner for investors and industry leaders.

The London participation is positioned as a precursor to the second edition of PropTech Connect Middle East, which Dubai will host on 3 and February 4, 2027.

The inaugural edition, held in February 2026, drew more than 3,000 participants and over 300 speakers. DLD says both events sit within the broader objectives of the Dubai Real Estate Strategy 2033 and the Dubai Economic Agenda D33.
