His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Holding, witnessed the signing of an AED5 billion construction contract between Dubai Holding and China State Construction Engineering Corporation Middle East (CSCEC ME) for the delivery of Dubai Holding’s headquarters and Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers.

The contract is the largest construction award made by Dubai Holding to date and forms part of the Group’s capital deployment into projects intended to support Dubai’s growth.

Dubai Holding said the headquarters will bring the Group’s businesses into one workplace focused on collaboration, sustainability and employee wellbeing. The building is scheduled to open in 2029 and will establish an address in one of Dubai’s commercial locations.

The contract will also advance construction of Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers, comprising 754 branded residences across two towers at the same location.

AED5bn contract is Dubai Holding’s largest construction award to date

His Excellency Mohamed bin Hadi Al Hussaini, Minister of State for Financial Affairs, and Her Excellency Ou Boqian, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, attended the signing ceremony.

They were joined by Amit Kaushal, Group Chief Executive Officer of Dubai Holding; Tian Sanchuan, Chairman of CSCEC ME; and representatives from both organisations.

Dubai Holding headquarters scheduled to open in 2029

Dubai Holding’s headquarters has been designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), the architecture, engineering and urban planning practice responsible for buildings in markets around the world.

The headquarters will have a circular form and will be organised around an open-air atrium and landscaped courtyard. Terraces will form part of the office layout and are intended to support collaboration and interaction between employees.

Employee wellbeing, sustainability and technology are included in the design.

Dubai Holding said the building has been designed to support resource efficiency, workplace experience and the needs of its workforce. The Group aims for the project to meet international sustainability and wellbeing standards and support reductions in carbon emissions.

Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers to include 754 residences

Kaushal said Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers would add a residential development to the district and expand Dubai Holding’s real estate portfolio.

“Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers carries the same ambition in another form, adding a residential landmark to one of Dubai’s most prominent districts and adding further strength to our real estate portfolio,” he said.

CSCEC ME will deliver Jumeirah Residences Emirates Towers as a residential development by Meraas.

The project has been designed by SCDA Architects and will combine its architecture with Jumeirah’s Arabian hospitality and service offering. It will also include a collection of lifestyle, wellness and leisure experiences.

Dubai Holding said the development will have direct connectivity to business, cultural and lifestyle destinations in Dubai.

Handover is scheduled for 2030.
