Qatar Airways has published its 2026–2027 winter schedule, pushing its network beyond 170 destinations and planning close to 1,800 weekly frequencies by December 2026.
The headline moves span six regions. In Europe, London Heathrow services rise from 49 to 56 weekly flights from October25, 2026, an 11 per cent capacity increase, with British Airways’ daily Doha codeshare adding further connectivity. Frankfurt grows from 18 to 21 weekly flights from December 7, 2026.
Asia Pacific sees the sharpest frequency jumps. Phuket flights increase from 14 to 21 weekly from October 25, while Malé services rise from 12 to 21 weekly on the same date.
Ho Chi Minh City climbs from seven to 11 weekly services from November 7, supported by a new four-times-weekly direct Doha–Ho Chi Minh City service running alongside the existing Doha–Ho Chi Minh City–Phnom Penh operation.
Kuala Lumpur will see 18 weekly Qatar Airways flights from October 25, complemented by 14 weekly Malaysia Airlines frequencies on the same city pair.
In Australia, daily Canberra flights via Melbourne resume on December 9 2026, Melbourne doubles from 7 to 14 weekly flights, and Virgin Australia will restart and expand services from Sydney, Brisbane and Perth to Doha from December 2026.
In Africa, daily Zanzibar flights resume on October 25, 2026, Seychelles frequencies increase from four to seven weekly from March 1, 2027, and Johannesburg grows from 14 to 18 weekly flights from December 2, 2026. In the Americas, Montreal rises from five to seven weekly flights from 25 October, a 40 per cent increase in seat capacity.
The Middle East additions are centred on Saudi Arabia. Qatar Airways is resuming services to four cities in the Kingdom: Qassim from October 25, 2026, Taif from October 31, Yanbu from January 2, 2027 and Tabuk from January 3, 2027.
Each destination will receive two weekly flights. Combined with existing services, Qatar Airways will operate more than 155 weekly flights across 12 Saudi destinations, representing a more than 10 per cent increase on the summer schedule.
Running alongside the network expansion is a wider Starlink rollout. Qatar Airways says it currently operates up to 340 Starlink-enabled flights daily across more than 150 widebody aircraft, with the service being extended to additional routes ahead of the winter season.
